The Partnership School Project called Icons Our European Places took up many sociological and cultural aspects during its course.  It dealt with problems which we ourselves and our partners encounter right now and will in the near future. The things created by the students were title icons – the most important and unique objects to be found in their dwelling places.

When the project was done the students came to a conclusion that European culture is definitely diverse but at the same time deeply unified.  Each of partners developed their own information materials about their countries:  geography, history, religion traditions, legends, prejudices, etc. The students easily realized that all the prejudices and stereotypes they had had can be easily broken. The realization of the tasks was beneficial to the quality and effectiveness of the teaching process and it also helped to built sincere and long lasting relationships between the students and the teachers.
